Producer - Unannounced Kids & Family CG Series (Disney Television Animation)

We are looking for a strong and experienced Animation Producer to lead a team on an exciting CG animated series.

The Producer on a Disney Television Animation series is responsible for supporting the creative intent of the series, leading the production, and ensuring successful delivery of the episodes and ancillary content to the Network and Company. The Producer serves as a bridge between and a guide for the show’s creative vision and production goals.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following duties.

Scheduling & Budgeting: Responsible and accountable for the creation, oversight and management of the schedule, and budget plan with guidance from the Production Executive Generate series budget, subsequent season &/or alternate budget scenarios with the input of Production Executive and Production Finance Accurate budget maintenance and management with regular cost reporting. Create and articulate the long-term production strategy that achieves the show’s creative vision within budget Focus on the big picture of the show to balance the competing pressures of a production: creative vision, schedule, staffing needs, and budget

Staffing : Generate staffing plan with guidance from the Production Executive Maintain relationships with Labor, Human Resources, Artist Management & Recruitment to ensure compliance with hiring guidelines and employment policies for staffing and management of assigned productions Partner with cross functional teams to ensure vendors, talent, independent contractors and crew members are accurately contracted.

Leadership: Lead the in-house production team(s) while building and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders and animation studios, ensuring that creative expectations, budget, and schedule are consistently met Mentor the Line Producer, Associate Producer or Production Manager to ensure their development and growth Manage expectations at the studio, network, external production company, and with the crew Foster a positive culture of teamwork and solution-oriented thinking.

Partnership: Partner with the Executive Producers, Directors, and other show leadership to define the creative and production goals of the show and lead the team to achieve those goals Partner with LP or AP to oversee the complexity of the show. Understand asset counts, footage, character density, animation quotas, and other metrics, and how those factors impact the budget Collaborate amongst Creative Leadership, Content & Inclusion, Production teams, Studio and Network Executives to achieve creative and production goals Collaborate with Franchise, PR, Marketing, Programming, and other departments Participate in and/or support creative leadership with Public/Media Relations and public-facing representation

Problem Solving: Approach problems and conflicts with ownership, positivity, curiosity, and a proactive solution-oriented attitude Provide risk assessment and measure production trends against plan. Business Acumen/ Brand Awareness: Elevate quality and innovation to support Disney’s mission to remain the leader in a highly competitive and evolving artistic industry.

Technical Skills: Ensure all team members are accurately set up on systems to work across production.

Required Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 8 years of production management experience in CG and series animation including prior experience as a Producer, Line Producer, and/or Production Executive A track record of delivering animated series on-time and on-budget Extensive knowledge of pre-production, production, and post-production methods in traditional and CG mediums Familiarity with animation software, hardware, databases, and asset management systems Skilled in Microsoft Office, with extensive experience in cost reporting and production budgeting. Familiar with 700 and 839 union regulations Experience working with 3rd party animation studios, domestically and internationally Ability to travel internationally to visit animation studio partners Experience managing creative leaders and teams in a high-pressure environment while meeting the needs of the production and managing expectations with stakeholders Solution-orientated approach to prioritizing and solving internal and external challenges An experimental, risk-taking mind-set: Must be open to thinking outside of traditional television formats and outside of the traditional linear television model. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills used to interact with a range of personalities across all stakeholders and partnerships A strong work ethic that motivates achievement and improvement of processes and practices for themselves and others Organizational skills and attention to detail that encompass personal time management, delegation of duties and competing priorities and deadlines A passion for children’s programming

The hiring range for this position in California is $133,800 to $183,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
