$2,000 Must be US Citizen / Green Card Holder No 3rd Parties What We Are Looking For : We are seeking a highly skilled hands-on Solution Architect with deep expertise in SQL Server performance tuning and proficiency in C++ / C# or similar languages. You will lead the transformation of legacy monolithic systems into scalable, high-performance solutions capable of handling high throughput and low latency. This role involves immediate troubleshooting of a 20-year-old trading platform while driving long-term system modernization, applying best practices in SDLC, CI / CD, and Agile methodologies. Experience in the Fintech sector with expertise in brokerage trading platforms is essential. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a proven ability to mentor development teams, guide best SDLC practices, make quick decisions, and deliver proofs of concept. You will collaborate across teams to identify dependencies, build architectural blueprints, and guide technical efforts to align with business objectives. This is an exciting opportunity to lead both hands-on technical work and strategic system optimization in a fast-paced environment. What You’ll Be Doing : Short-Term (Performance & Application Optimization) : Hands-on resolution of critical SQL Server performance issues, such as slow queries, deadlocks, locking/blocking, and high CPU/memory utilization Lead detailed SQL Server performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing, and partitioning Collaborate with C++ / C# development teams to review and optimize application interactions with SQL Server Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve performance bottlenecks between SQL Server and application code Implement immediate solutions to improve system responsiveness, stability, and performance Long-Term (Integration, Modernization & Strategic Leadership) : Architect and drive modernization of the legacy trading platform, transitioning to a scalable, modular architecture (microservices) with seamless SQL Server integration Provide strategic leadership in design, build, buy solutions, cloud migrations, database refactoring, and application modernization Team Leadership & SDLC Coaching : Mentor development teams on SDLC best practices, including code reviews, testing, and documentation Promote Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) for iterative delivery Champion CI / CD practices, setting up automated build, test, and deployment processes Establish development standards fostering collaboration and continuous improvement Act as a technical advisor to ensure alignment with business objectives The Skills You Bring : Demonstrated technical leadership and hands-on experience Experience as a lead developer with design, code reviews, and mentoring Understanding of distributed, scalable architectures and CAP theorem Experience in modern system transformation, low latency optimization Expertise in MS SQL databases Proficiency in C++ or C# Knowledge of communication protocols (TCP/UDP/IP, WebSockets, Protobufs, HTTP, FIX) Familiarity with multi-threading, IPC, event handling Understanding NoSQL and document DBs (Redis) Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) Familiarity with DevOps tools (GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) Proficiency in scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python) Experience working in Agile environments with automated testing and CI/CD Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience At least 7 years of relevant experience Experience in fintech, brokerage, and trading processes Desired Qualifications : Mastery in SQL performance tuning and optimization Experience with C++ / C# / .NET Core Open-source project involvement Cloud deployment experience (AWS, EKS) Cross-platform development (Linux/Ubuntu, Windows) Skilled in managing asynchronous communication streams and remote collaboration tools
