The Opportunity: Unit Coordinator
Why This Role Is Important?
Under the direction of the Nursing Director, the Unit Coordinator (UC) assists the multi-disciplinary health care team in support functions to promote a safe, efficient care environment. Blake 6 Transplant is seeking a 32-hour UC to work primarily days, with rotation to off shifts based on unit needs. Skills
The UC greets and interacts with patients, families, visitors, and coworkers professionally. They manage information at the nursing station and throughout the unit, facilitating effective communication via various tools including telephone, paging, patient call system, fax, computer, and handheld devices, while maintaining patient confidentiality. They accurately enter admissions, discharges, and transfer data into the electronic medical record to support efficient patient throughput and maintain patient records according to hospital standards. They also monitor and resolve fax machine issues. Schedule
Day (7am-3pm / 7am-7pm), Evening (3pm-11pm), and Night (7pm-7am, 11pm-7am) with rotational holidays and weekends. What do we have to offer?

Perform clerical duties to support unit administration. Greet and interact professionally with patients, families, visitors, and staff. Manage information at the nursing station and throughout the unit. Schedule tests, procedures, and transport. Enter accurate information into the electronic medical record. Coordinate with ancillary services for equipment, services, and supplies. Assist with payroll, scheduling, or supervision as needed. Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred. Unit Coordinator Certification preferred. 2-3 years administrative support experience required. Proficiency with office procedures, MS Office, medical terminology, and communication skills. Additional Details
