Position Overview:
Supervises the installation and management of the local and wide area network infrastructure to ensure the stable operation of SEARHC’s IT assets. Responsibilities include design, planning, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network hardware, software, and communication links. Requires advanced TCP/IP routing and switching, network QoS, security planning and monitoring, Internet management, network cabling, VOIP telephony, and other communication systems. Key Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Designs and plans network infrastructure, including procurement and reconfiguration of equipment to meet organizational needs. Builds, maintains, and supports Cisco Unified Communications environment. Communicates with stakeholders and IT peers to assess organizational needs. Troubleshoots network outages and performance issues supporting key business and medical services. Notifies staff of planned outages and downtime. Installs network equipment and maintains cabling infrastructure. Collaborates with departments, vendors, and contractors to ensure network efficiency. Monitors and maintains network equipment, including software updates and management tools. Develops and maintains network documentation and security policies. Performs other duties as assigned. Education, Certifications, and Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or recognized certification, or equivalent experience. CCNA or similar certification, or 10 years of experience in lieu of certification. Experience
Minimum of two years related experience. Five years in enterprise networking preferred. Knowledge
Advanced IP networking, routing, and switching. Cisco Unified Communications tools (UCCM, UCCS, Unity). Telephony, VOIP, PSTN knowledge. Intermediate systems administration skills. Skills
Proficient with network installation tools. Configuring network equipment. Supporting various network configurations and equipment. Abilities
Work well with others and adapt to new systems and technologies. Travel
