The exact offer terms will depend on the skill level, educational qualifications, experience, and location of the candidate.JD:As a system design & test engineer, you will be responsible for designing hardware to validate board level system functionality and electrical performance of new Apple products.This position is a great fit for someone who is passionate about designing hardware, and working cross-functionally with teams across Apple (design, firmware, software, operations, etc).Our organization plays a key role in ensuring the quality standards at Apple are exceeded, and making sure that our customers are happy with the performance and experience of the products they use. Members of this team will lead the design of custom hardware testing fixtures, software (firmware and/or FPGA IP), and instruments that are critical to Apple’s product integrity.Key ResponsibilitiesTest fixture hardware design and integration with test instruments, implementation of product testing on new Apple products from prototype to mass productionWork closely with the system design and diagnostics teams early in the product development lifecycle to learn the system architecture and provide suggested test for functionality and performanceBe the technical expert for designing, understanding, presenting, communicating and debugging, the system testing and testing processes of Apple productAct as a key liaison between our organization and the Contract Manufacturers to ensure that our test station hardware and software is validated and ready for manufacturing testingDocumentation of tests and developing/executing product test plans, specifying test stations and diagnostics for testing product features, and implementing test process control andparametric data collection.Key QualificationsB.S. EE (or similar) with 3+ years of experienceGood understanding analog, digital, and power electronics hardware architectures and designExperience in schematic & PCB layout design using Allegro or a similar CAD toolAbility to design and debug complex electrical schematics and PCB layouts and propose clear, relevant experimentsWorking knowledge of USB 3.2, USB-PD, Display Port, PCIe, I2C, SPI technologies and protocols, and designGood oral & written communication skills - be able to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly and concisely to various cross functional teams and leadership.Nice to have - Prior experience with bed of nails test fixture and designing custom test instrumentsPrior experience of performing parametric data statistical analysis (CPK, GRR etc)Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally up-to 20% of the time; estimated 8-10 days per tripPrior technical leadership and/or project management experiencePrior experience of performing parametric data statistical analysis (CPK, GRR etc).“Tech Mahindra is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
