Sigma Defense is seeking a self-directed and highly motivated individual to join our team as an
ADNS Senior Network Engineer
to help converge all voice, video, and data communications between ship and shore. The Automated Digital Network System (ADNS) is an Acquisition Category II spiral development program that incorporates a variety of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government-Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) hardware and software. ADNS is the Tactical Internet Protocol (IP) Routing and Switching system for Wide Area Network IP Services, connecting afloat units to global shore sites. It provides ship and shore IP connectivity and promotes efficient use of satellite and line-of-sight communication bandwidth. Requirements At least 7 years of experience in DoD or other Government Unclassified and Classified Systems/Networks, Cisco Routing and Switching, Network Engineering, Testing, and Implementation Planning. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage and prioritize tasks for optimal productivity. Experience with Network hardware and software. Ability to research Cisco or related network hardware components. Experience conducting testing and regression testing on Government facilities. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, Office Suite, and PC hardware. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently, taking initiative. Quickly grasp and implement technical concepts. Ability to work with diverse engineering teams from junior to senior levels. Network engineering experience with ADNS, CANES, or CaaS is preferred. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution. Personnel Clearance Level: Must possess or be able to obtain an active Secret security clearance; sponsorship available for qualified candidates. Mandatory Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II - Security+ (or equivalent) and CCNA; CCNP preferred. Essential Job Responsibilities: Assist in development and modernization of government systems and networks. Support WAN/LAN architecture research and design for naval requirements. Provide engineering support for troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system fault correction. Participate in network testing and integration events. Review technical documents and participate in working groups. Configure Cisco switches (Layer-2 and Layer-3). Maintain port security and coordinate hardware deployment. Configure and maintain Palo Alto firewalls and TACLANE devices. Liaise with lab managers and engineers on network installation and compliance. Salary Range:
