We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to architect, extend, and support our end-to-end (E2E) test automation framework for advanced streaming and networking protocols, including WebTransport. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving continuous improvements in our automated test pipelines, maintaining and troubleshooting CI/CD infrastructure, and supporting the launch and ongoing evolution of testing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect, design, extend, and maintain automated test frameworks and pipelines focused on complex streaming technologies and protocols. Manage, configure, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins), leveraging YAML and JSON configurations. Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Python / Pytest for API testing, integrating testing frameworks such as Playwright for UX testing. Collaborate with development teams to manage and troubleshoot our CI/CD. Diagnose and troubleshoot automation environment issues, Docker containers, Artifactory access, and network/hardware setups, including tools like Netropy and Wireshark. Lead integration and management of automated test results reporting, ensuring timely notifications and updates through Slack or other communication platforms. Own device and network hardware setup for QA testing, coordinating firmware updates, connectivity testing, and environment isolation. Mentor and support junior and mid-level QA engineers, providing guidance, onboarding documentation, and contributing to best practices in test monitoring and issue triage. Work cross-functionally with development and product teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features, infrastructure upgrades, and protocol enhancements. Continuously seek ways to incorporate AI-driven methodologies and tools into quality engineering practices to enhance test coverage, reporting, and workflow efficiency. Required Qualifications:
3+ years of professional experience in QA automation, Software Quality Engineering, or DevOps roles. Strong expertise in scripting with Python, capable of developing, modifying, and maintaining automation scripts. Proven experience managing and configuring CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar. Hands-on experience with automated test frameworks (PyTest, Playwright) and integrating them into CI/CD workflows. Solid understanding of container technologies, particularly Docker, for managing CI/CD environments. Direct experience with network tools and simulators/emulators (Netropy, Wireshark). Demonstrated capability in diagnosing and resolving complex test environment and CI/CD pipeline issues. Excellent communication and documentation skills, adept at explaining complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with advanced streaming protocols, WebRTC, Web Transport (QUICK) or related networking technologies. Familiarity with cloud-based game streaming platforms and network infrastructure. Experience utilizing AI Powered IDE’s, API’s and machine learning techniques to enhance test automation, reporting, and analysis. Knowledge of multi-threaded execution environments, dynamic test management, and multi-device test scenarios. Experience working in both Linux and Windows server environments.
