What We Do The Information Technology (IT) Department is recognized among municipalities as a premier provider of technology infrastructure and services. The Department's mission is to make information available anytime and anywhere by facilitating citywide and intergovernmental knowledge sharing and ensuring access to reliable, innovative, and cost-effective technologies. The IT Department is comprised of three divisions: Information Technology, Cable TV, and Graphic/Reprographics. The Systems Integration classification falls under the Information Technology Division which oversees IT Administration, Network & Communications, Client Support, Software Solutions, and Data Center functions.

What We Are Looking For The Systems Integrator oversees various complex IT systems and projects, acting as the main point-of-contact for the City's Fire Department and serving as the IT liaison between IT and Fire Departments. Candidates should have a thorough technical understanding of data centers, backend servers, networks, systems analysis, and system installations/upgrades. Experience with Public Safety mobile device integration, cloud applications, radio systems, or public safety software such as CADS or RMS is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship-building skills, project management experience, dedication, and the ability to clearly explain technical solutions to diverse audiences. This role manages IT projects, allocates resources, and ensures timely completion, requiring excellent communication skills and sound judgment in technical recommendations. The position reports to the IT Department but will assist the Fire Department with daily systems troubleshooting, integration, projects, and operations, reporting to various IT managers as needed.

The Systems Integrator will oversee complex projects, coordinate teams, and communicate project statuses. Core duties include developing project schedules, managing resources, understanding business requirements, monitoring budgets, and ensuring security measures. Additional functions involve maintaining current knowledge of systems, performing analysis, programming, configuration, and providing technical support. Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, three years of relevant experience, project management skills, and knowledge of IT systems and communication principles.
