Overview
This position supports the Strategic Weapons System (SWS) for the COLUMBIA class construction, test, and integration of SWS/SWSS equipment in Groton, CT. Responsibilities include: Optimize the ARTEMIS SWS/SWSS Build and Test activities to enable efficient execution and achieve schedule, cost, progress, and work order attainment.
Provide technical support for Work Order development to optimize excitability by ensuring proper SWS/SWSS installation test requirements are met. Interface and Coordinate with all areas of GDEB to include but not limited to operations, planning, program office, and engineering personnel. Expedite SWS/SWSS problem resolution by utilize various liabilities reporting tools to identify, correct, and reduce problems affecting trade installation and test. Liabilities used: CR/CN, TIRs, CPRs, TCRs, TCIs. Manage the Government support team in the execution of the SWS Installation and Test Program (SITP) Interface with internal and external senior leadership Perform installation and accuracy control testing as a qualified Test Director - Inspection. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent 10+ years of SWS and/or submarine construction and test experience (or combination thereof)
10% Work travel will be required
Ability to read system diagrams and similar engineering drawings
Preferred: 5+ years EB Management experience 3+ years of modular construction and ship fitting Experience with Ripouts, ERs/CR/CNs, Project Management Experience Previous experience with GDEB Tank certification and confined spaces requirements
Skills
System engineering capabilities Working knowledge of existing EB policies and procedures for operations and planning Good communication (written and oral) and organizational skills are required Candidate must be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously Self-Starter Teamcenter experience
