ChurnPilot is an AI-powered predictive analytics platform that helps B2B SaaS companies reduce churn, increase retention, and boost customer lifetime value. We leverage machine learning, AI, real-time data ingestion, and smart automation to surface churn risk, expansion opportunities, and actionable insights, all in one platform.

As the Director of Engineering, you'll help build the technical foundation of a category-defining product and work at the intersection of data, infrastructure, and customer impact.

The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer who understands the nuances of building performant, scalable, and secure infrastructure, while also being comfortable working across the stack as needed. Experience deploying B2B SaaS applications on AWS is highly preferred.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-moving, early-stage startup and play a pivotal role in the development of our platform.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

  • Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI) and React, with AWS infrastructure experience (especially ECS/Fargate, CDK, Secrets Manager, S3, CloudFront).
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, and building secure data connectors to customer warehouses.
  • Comfortable orchestrating LLM-based or lightweight ML systems (for QBR generation, scoring models).
  • Able to manage GitHub Actions, Docker pipelines, Terraform/CDK-based deployments.

ARCHITECTURE

  • Can design and own the core data + ML architecture.
  • Understands tradeoffs between data warehouse-native systems vs SaaS integrations.

SECURITY & PRIVACY

  • Understands how to build with least privilege principles in customer warehouse access (e.g., Snowflake role configs).
  • Can implement secure customer-specific environments and protect company IP when running models inside customer infra.

STARTUP DNA

  • Willing to write code daily for the next 6–12 months.
  • Can deliver usable versions of new features in <1 week cycles.
  • Knows when to hack and when to design for scale.
  • Comfortable joining customer calls, onboarding partners, debugging data pipelines in real time.

LEADERSHIP

  • Helps define technical culture, workflows, and tooling stack.
  • Comfortable translating business goals into technical execution plans.
