Mid-level Investment Funds Associate

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Investment Funds group. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in investment funds, including private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds. This role offers flexibility with hybrid work options and is open to candidates based in multiple U.S. office locations.

Location:

• Washington, DC

Duties:

• Provide legal support in the formation and investment of domestic and international private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds.
• Assist with secondary transactions, structuring separately managed accounts, and structuring carry vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with clients, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce high-quality work product and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in meetings and collaborate with both internal teams and external clients.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience with investments and formation of private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds.
• Secondary transaction and carry vehicle structuring experience is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction in which the candidate is applying.
