Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities include: providing distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist prior to receiving certification, refilling and maintaining automated dispensing systems, preparing orders and maintaining inventory for the pharmacy department, preparing sterile and non-sterile compounds, repackaging bulk medications, receiving and storing incoming supplies, and triaging incoming calls and serving as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing information. Requirements include: licensure/certification/registration as a Pharmacy Technician from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the Florida Board of Pharmacy, and a high school diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or an associate's degree/technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
