Sleep Lab Technologist
Sleep Lab Technologist position at Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo in Kokomo, IN. Schedule: 12 hours per week. Responsibilities include: performing basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies, preparing patients and equipment for ordered testing, interviewing patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures, performing and documenting testing, monitoring patients throughout testing and intervening as necessary, collecting, analyzing and integrating patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs, scoring, interpreting and reporting results of sleep studies, preparing, calibrating, repairing and maintaining equipment required for testing, and determining and reporting needed repairs/replacements. Requirements include: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required, one or more of the following required: Cert Polysomnographic Tech credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT), Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), Reg Polysomnographic Tchnlgst credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT), or Sleep Technician credentialed from the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM), and High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
