Requires Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Poly Position Requirements Support the development life cycle of platform architectural design, deployment, and debugging. Build a release pipeline to enable fast, safe delivery of critical business software to production. Develop & maintain version control best practices-based CM systems (GIT), including branching and merging strategies. Serve as a technical lead for an Agile team and actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, including planning, grooming, product demonstrations, and retrospectives. Automate release deployments across development, testing, staging, QA, and production environments using scripting languages and automation tools. Set up new sites and applications via configuration management tools such as Puppet and Ansible. Maintain, upgrade, and patch tracking and documentation software (Confluence/Jira). Create, assist, and implement design and maintenance of web service infrastructure and deployments. Analyze service stack and recommend improvements. Identify processes and capabilities that can be streamlined and automated. Communicate effectively to bridge stakeholder and development requirements. Assist with support and operations as necessary. Maintain confidentiality regarding processed, stored, or accessed information. Leverage programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, and Java. Proficient with DevOps or SRE methodologies. Automate network infrastructure configuration using Software Defined Networking. Have a holistic view of service development and deployment architecture. Understand SLA requirements, high availability architectures, performance optimization, and monitoring techniques. Support deployment and operations when necessary. Set up and configure continuous integration environments using CM, containerization, serverless tech, and Kubernetes. Architect and develop best practices for build tools (Gradle, Maven, ANT, Shell), CI tools (Jenkins, Bamboo), and infrastructure automation (AWS, VMWare, Puppet, Chef, Ansible). Experience working cross-functionally across multiple teams. Position Responsibilities Must be fluent with Git. Strong knowledge of Linux environments (RHEL 6/7/8, RHCSNRHCE, CentOS). Experience with Windows system administration, monitoring, instrumentation, resiliency, and performance. 10+ years in an Agile development environment (excluding educational experience). Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment is preferred. Experience with caching technologies (Memcache, ActiveMQ, Redis, APC, etc.). Experience with MySQL (clusters, replication, tuning) and Elasticsearch (Kibana a plus), knowledge of security practices, networking, firewalls, PCI compliance. 10+ years of system architecture experience, with ability to read and understand code for troubleshooting. 10+ years managing/monitoring AWS cloud and virtualized servers in a PaaS environment. Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies. Fluent in object-oriented programming, with experience in Ruby, C, C++, Go, Python, or Java. Ability to understand complex software systems, reproduce defects, assess risks, and understand deployments. Effective collaboration with customers, developers, testers, project managers, and support staff. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Clear and precise communication skills.
