The Order Fulfillment Technician (OFT) is responsible for building pallets in a safe and efficient manner, which includes reading labels, placing the product in the proper load/stop sequence, and loading on the truck. Loaders accomplish this by following standard work instructions and operating a pallet jack.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to read and understand English and can identify items on paperwork. Ability to operate and understand the inventory scanner. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy with respect to loading outgoing trucks. Works from order sheets to build loads using an electric pallet jack. The position is responsible for accuracy in loading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation. Follows shipping instructions in building loads. Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is transported to the necessary area. Must complete and maintain all relevant shipping documentation as required. Assemble various types of merchandise for shipment. Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment. Stencil, tag, or mark orders as requested. Repack and weigh any orders that require such handling when necessary. Report quality variances. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area (Coolers and Dock area). Maintain an inventory product rotation. (First In/First Out) Properly staging and tracking products in the coolers. Communicate any issues or discrepancies on product order immediately. Communicate verbally with supervisors and associates. Ability to be trained to use an electric jack safely. Ability to work overtime as needed. Other job duties as needed or assigned by Supervisor/Lead occasionally
Physical Demands
Ability to occasionally lift to 50 lbs. Work in a damp and cold environment Constant Standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping as product is moved.
