Position: Network Engineer
Location: Austin, Texas (ONSITE)

Apex Systems is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Austin, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in network infrastructure and VoIP technologies to contribute to high-impact projects in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Install and maintain network hardware, components, and cabling Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across LAN/WAN environments Rack and stack networking hardware onsite and offsite Provide technical support via phone, email, and in-person Collaborate with business units and project managers Assist operations teams with network design, implementation, and problem resolution Ensure high standards of quality, productivity, and turnaround time Provide after-hours support and perform ad hoc duties as needed Optimize stability, availability, reliability, and performance of networking infrastructure Conduct LAN/WAN resource performance and capacity planning Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in network design and implementation Proficiency in installing and supporting routers, switches, DNS, DHCP, WAN accelerators 8+ years of wireless network design and configuration 4+ years of VoIP engineering or telecommunications experience Strong knowledge of SIP, RTP, VoIP protocols, and platforms like Cisco Call Manager Solid understanding of TCP/IP, NAT, QoS, and voice quality optimization Preferred Skills:
Advanced knowledge of protocols and technologies: EIGRP, STP, BGP, VPC, mLACP, VRF, IGMP, PIM, Anycast-RP, MSDP, 802.1x, EAP-TLS, TACACS+, SYSLOG, Cisco IOS/NX-OS/EVPN Experience with Cisco DNA Center Experience with cloud-based VoIP and UCaaS solutions Familiarity with telephony hardware (IP phones, gateways) Certifications such as CCNA (Collaboration and/or Enterprise) or equivalent Strong project management and problem-solving skills
