Job Description:
We are looking for a talented and driven Cloud Security Engineer SRE to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in systems administration, cloud technologies, and infrastructure as code, with a focus on solution engineering and site reliability. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen our security posture and optimize operations through automation. Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling using languages like Python, Go, Bash, or Ruby. Manage and configure Linux/Unix systems, including file systems, processes, and system settings. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef to manage infrastructure. Work with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including services like EC2, S3, Kubernetes, and serverless functions. Implement and manage containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift). Configure and troubleshoot networking components, including DNS, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs. Set up and maintain monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic. Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI; familiarity with HashiCorp Vault and Terraform is a plus. Respond to and manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and conduct post-mortem reviews. Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce human error. Tune system performance and resolve bottlenecks. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and document systems and processes clearly. Ensure system reliability and scalability by setting and monitoring SLOs and SLAs. Design systems with redundancy and resilience to minimize downtime. Apply security best practices, including access control, data encryption, and secure coding. Maintain compliance with standards like GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS as applicable. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent work experience. 10 years of relevant program leadership or consulting experience. Experience in program management frameworks, knowledge groups, and lifecycle management. Additional Details:
