Performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the Military establishment's storage plan to include receive, unpack, arrange, store goods/merchandise, gather, pack, prepare and load goods for dispatching. Checks supply for damage and wear, reports faults and discrepancies to relevant parties, and mark and label stock according to SOP's.

Responsibilities

As directed, the Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.

Work involves most of the following:

Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents.

Noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.

Routing materials to prescribed storage locations.

Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage Methods.

Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.

Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.

Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.

This worker may operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Qualifications

Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. Must be able to pass a background check and attain security clearance if required. Must be able to pass random drug testing (as required). Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). Familiarity with warehouse software such as inventory management systems. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
