Job Description:
Position Description: Works closely with business units and architects to gather requirements, plan, design, develop, and deploy on-premises and cloud-based applications. Writes SQL queries in Oracle/Snowflake and performs performance optimization for large datasets. Develops ETL/ELT pipelines to move data to and from Snowflake data store using Python, AWS, and Snowflake. Primary Responsibilities: Analyzes business requirements and delineates roadmaps and milestone plans to achieve strategic initiatives. Collaborates with business units to fulfill their needs, providing technical support such as application and framework development, data management solutions, and implementation. Develops ingestion and transformation frameworks for data pipelines that collect logs and enable metadata for the consumption layer. Provides exploratory analysis, framework development, product enhancements, and platform/support solutions. Delivers actionable insights to business units through data convergence, reducing costs for innovation. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, Physics, or related field plus 5 years of experience as a Principal Data Engineer supporting finance data lakes with tools like ART, Anaplan, Snowflake, and Python. Alternatively, a Masters degree plus 3 years of relevant experience. Skills and Knowledge: Expertise in designing and developing Oracle database applications processing flat files, using shell scripts, Informatica, SQL Developer, and stored procedures. Experience with software development lifecycles using Informatica Power Center, Oracle, Netezza, SQL Server, and Unix Shell scripting, moving data across databases. Proficiency in designing scalable cloud data warehouses using AWS (EMR, S3, CloudFormation), PySpark, Apache NiFi, and private tools like Hive, Sqoop, HDFS. Developing Python-based data ingestion applications for structured data from relational databases and APIs into Snowflake, AWS, Jenkins, GitHub, Power BI, and Control-M. Certifications:
