Senior Cloud Data Architect

to be responsible for the design of the enterprise information architecture necessary to store, move, transform, deliver, integrate, and manage data. The role focuses primarily on enterprise information requirements: design, access, usage and stewardship, but may also be involved in data integration solutions for different business areas and users. This role also requires some understanding of emerging regulatory issues surrounding information assets (such as consumer privacy laws). Also included is the development or use of process models, creation or use of information or target data models, interface designs, and development of internal and external checks and controls to ensure proper governance, security and quality of information assets. Senior Cloud Data Architect,

your responsibilities will include: Designing enterprise information architecture under limited direction to store, move, transform, deliver, integrate, and manage data.

Contributing to the growth of the Data Architecture practice by identifying common patterns and developing frameworks for all data management disciplines.

Executing the data strategy and vision in alignment with business goals by utilizing the modeling standards, guidelines, best practices, and approved modeling techniques.

Modeling the future state of the data architecture and provides best practices and guidelines.

Reviewing proposed data models in packaged or commercial applications for business applicability.

Contributing significantly to data integration, business intelligence (BI), and enterprise information management programs.

Establishing metrics to track and measure the value of data architecture initiatives (e.g., model reuse, project cost impact, data consistency improvements).

Identifying significant data assets based on business impact, decision impact, risk mitigation, or organizational relevance.

Ensuring critical information assets are represented in the enterprise information architecture (EIA) and comply with its design guidelines.

The Senior Cloud Data Architect position

is well-suited for you if you: Have demonstrated experience implementing enterprise data architecture principles and techniques

Have strong knowledge of data architecture, integration, and databases

Are proficient in SQL

Can work with other teams across IT to manage data and collaborate with information architects, content architects and other data architects to support common goals and approaches

Have a strong ability to act and influence as a data steward and assess/recommend models fit for use across diverse domains.

What youll need: Bachelors Degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Typically, a minimum of five years of related work experience in data architecture

Typically has at least three to five years of experience with the following:

Data integration and ETL tools and techniques; experience with ETL tool required, Informatica and Snowflake experience preferred.

Data analysis and data profiling.

Data modeling and several architecture tools and techniques; ER/Studio experience preferred.

Reporting and visualization tools; with BusinessObjects and Tableau experience preferred.

Conceptual, logical and physical data modeling, especially for rationalizing data objects.

Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone is preferred OR willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours.
