Enterprise System Administrator
to support our client in
Tallahassee, Florida. The Enterprise Systems Administrator will act as the primary point of contact for the project team, ensuring smooth communication, technical operations, and system optimization across platforms. Job Type: Full Time (W2 Yearly) or Contract (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099) Job Location: Tallahassee, Florida (Onsite role) Key Responsibilities: Administer Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Active Directory environments. Develop, deploy, and maintain processes to optimize Microsoft Server and Azure resources. Manage and optimize Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and services. Analyze Azure resource performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend upgrades or configuration changes. Create and maintain technical documentation including specifications, standards, and procedures. Collaborate with data center staff, OIT, and end users for deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes. Administer Azure infrastructure security for OIT staff and users. Support Azure application administrators and users with appropriate access controls. Diagnose and resolve issues with Windows and Linux servers, minimizing user disruption. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for system monitoring and management. Research and recommend technical solutions to meet business and functional needs. Identify and suggest process improvements for the Departments infrastructure team. Create and manage schedules for software system development and implementation. Perform other system administration duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or four (4) years of equivalent work experience. Relevant experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis. Minimum five (5) years of Windows server administration, including three (3) years with Windows Server 2016 or newer. Minimum three (3) years of Microsoft Azure/Cloud experience. Minimum two (2) years of AWS experience. Minimum five (5) years of experience with Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy in an enterprise environment (1,000+ users). Minimum three (3) years of Linux server experience. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for monitoring and management tasks. Experience working in virtual server and cloud environments. Experience installing, maintaining, and supporting third-party applications. Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing IT projects for large, distributed user bases. Proficiency in developing and managing project schedules. Experience with Microsoft Azure Government and AWS Government Cloud environments. Familiarity with state government IT projects and Rule 60GG-1, F.A.C. compliance. Experience collaborating with technical programming teams. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of IT standards in a criminal justice or secure environment. Familiarity with other IT domains such as programming or data analytics. Energetic team player with a strong work ethic.
