Travel **Job Title: MS/Tele & Critical Care RN Float Pool - Day Shift**
**Location:** Maryland
**Shift:** Day, 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
**Contract Length:** 14 weeks, with potential for extensions
**Position Overview:** We are seeking a skilled and compassionate MS/Tele & Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool for day shifts. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience, including expertise in Med/Surg and telemetry units.
**Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in various critical care and med/surg environments. - Float between all Critical Care and MS/Tele units as needed, ensuring patient care is the top priority. - Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5 during assigned shifts. - Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Physical Therapy, and Pharmacy, to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Conduct assessments, monitor vital signs, and implement nursing interventions based on patient needs. - Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies, including cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration). - Perform various technical nursing procedures, such as central line care, blood product administration, and telemetry monitoring. - Respond to emergencies and implement rapid response protocols as necessary.
**Requirements:** - Active MD state RN license (or Compact License). - Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), CPI. - Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience, with a strong skillset in managing complex patient cases. - Must be proficient in using the Epic charting system (preferred). - Experience in traveling nursing is required. - Ability to float within the hospital and adapt to different units comfortably.
**Additional Details:** - Weekend and holiday shifts are required as scheduled. - Orientation hours: 24 hours. - Candidates must provide two satisfactory professional references: one from a supervisor/manager and one from a charge RN.
