Assistant Director, Compliance
Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Director, Compliance - Boca Raton, FL. The Assistant Director reports to the Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer (CCO) and assists the CCO with management and implementation of the University's Compliance & Ethics Program, with a particular emphasis on foreign influence matters, policy management, privacy, ethics, and conflict of interest oversight. Responsibilities include: Assuming a leadership role in the University's efforts on compliance and oversight of foreign influence matters. Managing and updating the University's policies, procedures, guidelines, processes, and website. Managing the University's conflict of interest policies, resources, and disclosure process. Maintaining knowledge of statutes, regulations, and trends in higher education relating to compliance areas. Leading and participating in various University compliance-related committees. Developing and delivering compliance-related training materials. Participating in investigations, audits, and monitoring for compliance activity. Assisting with ethics complaints and investigations. Serving as a liaison with the Compliance office and University Compliance partners. Assisting with and developing compliance annual reports and work plans. Assisting with hotline reporting processes and data compilation. Assisting with implementing the University's privacy program. Analyzing data and conducting trend analyses and assessments, identifying areas of risk and improvement and potential remedial or corrective action. Assisting with the preparation of reports and supporting materials for the Board of Trustees and the Board of Governors. Providing support for other compliance initiatives and tasks as assigned by the CCO. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience required. Preferred Qualifications/Skills: Professional certifications in compliance. Compliance in a higher education, government, or corporate setting. Program management in a large, matrixed organization. Experience using technological tools to analyze and manage data in a large, matrixed organization. Salary: $78,000 - $85,000 per year.
