Join Our Team as an HR Labor Relations Manager
Neogen is seeking an experienced HR Labor Relations Manager to join our dynamic team. This critical role will be instrumental in shaping and executing our labor relations strategyparticularly in light of recent union activity within a subsection of our Lansing warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in labor relations, union avoidance, and employee engagement, with the ability to foster a workplace culture built on trust, compliance, and proactive leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the primary HR contact for all labor relations matters at the site level Develop and implement union avoidance strategies through proactive employee engagement and communication initiatives Partner closely with site leadership to ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies Support labor investigations, grievance handling, and contract interpretation Monitor workplace climate, analyze trends, and provide coaching to leaders on employee relations and labor best practices Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred Proven experience in labor relations and union environments Deep understanding of labor law, NLRB regulations, and contract administration Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with employees and leadership at all levels Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills At Neogen, we believe in creating an environment where every team member can thrive.
