FSQA Supervisor (Tempo) - 3rd Shift
This role follows a 3rd shift schedule, working from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with designated days off on Saturday & Sunday. The Tempo FSQA Supervisor is responsible for driving the food safety and quality control shift functions within Tempo RTH. The role includes a combination of supervision and active participation in the tasks to ensure that all products are safe, consistent, of the highest quality, and meet all requirements. Detailed Responsibilities Reporting & Planning: Assign daily and weekly responsibilities for RTH FSQA Techs and Sanitors, making sure there are appropriate resources to cover all activities Assist FSQA RTH Superintendent with development of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual schedules. Create FSQA Supervisor Recap; document any issues and work with the FSQA RTH Superintendent for resolution Be aware & proactive on shift metric reporting, understanding report outs & working on plans for improvement. Quality Control: Oversee RTH FSQA functions for all process steps while working closely with production to help monitor and resolve any issues Support communications with Production Management regarding any process that does not meet the standard requirements, and work together with necessary parties (e.g., Production Management, Production Team Leads, Production Associates, Maintenance, FSQA Managers and FSQA Associates) to resolve issues Conduct GMP audits and notify production management of violations; work with Production to resolve any issue Food Safety: Perform daily, weekly, and/or monthly tasks as assigned by FSQA Superintendent and/or FSQA Leadership including, but not limited to: GMP Audits, Metal Detection Verification, Environmental Monitoring Swabbing, Lab Equipment Calibrations, Chemical Titrations, Pre-Shipment Review, Hold Management, and Start of Line and Pre-Operational Inspections. Hold team members and cross-functional partners accountable to Home Chef's food safety expectations Perform Food Safety record verifications including but not limited to: receiving, pre-operational, cook & chill, metal detection and Pre-Shipment Release. Issue Escalation: Work with FSQA Leadership to help resolve food and non-food procurement quality issues within the shift, including but not limited to, questions related to produce quality, portioning quantity, and missing ingredients Escalate any decisions to FSQA leadership as needed People Management: Oversee training programming, holding accountable for delivering all components of the Training program to new RTH FSQA techs and sanitation associates. Train, coach and empower Tempo Quality Techs and Sanitation associates Responsible for performance review and corrective action meetings for Tempo Quality Tech and sanitation associates with FSQA Superintendent Other Responsibilities: Training
- Assist in training of new employees on Food Safety & Quality and Sanitation practices Issue Escalation
- Promptly notifies leadership when Food Safety & Quality issues or HACCP/HACQP deviations arise; Placing product on FSQA hold and assisting with dispositions as required Assisting in Production/Sanitation/Safety duties
- Assist in non-competitive functions when needed: e.g. sweeping floors, moving product and safety investigations Attitude and Attendance: Arrives to work at scheduled time and follows time off request procedure Communicates with co-workers in a professional manner Treats co-workers with respect at all times Escalates attitude issues among RTH hourly associates to FSQA superintendent or Manager Employs effective teamwork skills to collaborate with Production Demonstrates ownership of tasks and job responsibilities on a consistent basis. General Responsibilities: Follow the facility GMPs and help enforce them throughout the facility Support the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality and sanitation programs This position requires 5% travel. Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability needed for this role. High school diploma or equivalent is required Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Google applications required Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English is required; fluency in Spanish preferred. 3+ years of experience working in food quality / food safety, preferred Must be able to attain ServSafe Manager certification within 30 days of hire Ability to use, maintenance, and interpret results of laboratory and quality equipment and instrumentation Knowledge of filling and weighing equipment.
