As a Lean Specialist, you'll join our collaborative team providing our clients with award-winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design-build project delivery. We are looking for a passionate Lean Leader who is driven by collaboration, exceeding expectations, and challenging the status quo. You will work closely with the Director of Lean Implementation and Process Improvement to implement strategies, procedures, and protocols for all of Life Sciences North America. Your responsibilities will include training of internal staff, our vendors and trade partners, as well as coaching the next generation of Lean Leaders. Your responsibilities will include leading Lean and Continuous Improvement activities for a variety of Life Science projects located in the U.S. You will be responsible to work with Project Management teams to implement strategies for design, procurement, construction and CQV phases of projects. You will aid teams in alignment with the client and our vendor and trade partners, coordinating lean processes with a variety of initiatives such as safety, digital delivery, offsite fabrication and modularization and IPD strategies. You will aid the team in standing up the Last Planner System in both design and construction, including occasional facilitation of the various LPS elements. With a focus on Lean in the design phase, you will assist teams with establishing Conditions of Satisfaction, implementing A3 and Choosing by Advantages decision-making methodology, and creation of a high-performing team. Here's what you'll need: A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or construction management is desired 8+ years of experience in the design and / or construction industry with an emphasis in a varied range of life science projects Proficiency in the implementation of Choosing by Advantages, A3 thinking, Last Planner System, 5S, Conditions of Satisfaction, and other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred. Ideally, you'll also have: Strong technical skills in engineering, preconstruction, and / or construction management. LCI Certified Practitioner-Design is desired, but not required. Competent computer skills to include MS Word and Excel are required, knowledge of various LPS software platforms is preferred.
