Trades Technician II-IV - Electrical
This class is responsible for performing journeyman trades duties in the electrical area. The position will be required to perform work on highly specialized equipment associated with water and wastewater plants. Essential Duties: Perform work on highly specialized equipment associated with water and wastewater plants. Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to determine the cause of any problems. Make accurate and timely decisions with respect to repairs and/or replacements. Act as a liaison between the department and on-site contractors. Other Job Requirements/Information: This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing. This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays. Minimum Qualifications: Electrical Trades Technician Trades Technician II:
This position is a Grade B21(3). High School Diploma or GED; Two years of related electrical trades experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job; and Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) must be obtained within 12 months of employment. Electrical Trades Technician Trades Technician III:
This position is a Grade B23(3). High School Diploma or GED; Four years of related electrical trades experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job; and Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) must be obtained within 12 months of employment. Electrical Trades Technician Trades Technician IV:
This position is a Grade B31(3). High School Diploma or GED; Valid Georgia Driver's License; Five years of progressively responsible electrical trades experience, some of which is in a supervisory capacity; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above; and Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
