The salary range for this position is $45,877.84 to $69,484.11 for Schedule A, and $45,877.84 to $62,203.88 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to August 21, 2014, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after August 21, 2014, are considered Schedule B. The Judiciary offers a strong opportunity for growth. The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access. Example Of Duties

The New Jersey Judiciary, Hudson Vicinage, is seeking a highly motivated employee to work under the general direction of the Jury Manager, Court Executives 2B (Division Manager) and other supervisory personnel. Duties include, but are not limited to: Provide customer service to Spanish and English-speaking customers and jurors Expedite movement of case related matters. Summons 3750-6000 jurors weekly. Answer high volume of phone calls daily, process emails (300-500 weekly), process voicemails (60) daily, faxes (25) daily, mail and approximately 800-1000 online summonses. Reviews calendar and other court related paperwork for accuracy. Provide orientation to sworn jurors assigned to the court. Produces weekly juror payroll reports for the AOC and Finance Division. Track and reconcile lost payments of juror fees. Produces and analyzes statistical Criminal and Civil juror daily and monthly utilization reports and calendars for Assignment and Presiding Judges, management office, judicial personnel as well as monthly Grand Jury statistics. Identifies data discrepancies, research open cases and facilitates the correction of data in the automated system. Provide attending juror support through optimum customer service daily to internet and external clients. Respond to inquiries in a timely and informed manner, reconcile, update and modify juror information on the Jury Management System and juror emails. Type reports, compile notices to those jurors who fail to appear and edit letters and documents. Create statistical analysis of future juror pools and jury summons processing based on need of upcoming Civil and Criminal trials. Review case status with court personnel, team leaders and/or judges. Update case related information. Review content of reports for completeness, clarity and accuracy. Verify authenticity and validity of documents. Log of requests, maintain logs, send copies of presentments in accordance with directions from the Assign Judge. Conduct annual reconcile of juror fines. Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position. Qualifications

Experience Requirement: One (1) year of experience in an office environment performing a variety of clerical and support services to include keyboarding and one or more of the following: document or information processing, handling payments for fees, recording monies received, reconciling balances or accounts and/or scheduling meetings or appointments. Testing: Applicant selected to interview must pass an appointing authority administered examination to demonstrate keyboarding skills at the Judiciary standard of at least 25 words per minute or must have otherwise demonstrated this competency as detailed below. The appointing authority administered examination is waived for the following applicants who have been deemed to possess keyboarding skills at the Judiciary standard of 25 words per minute: All applicants who possess a current typing proficiency certification issued by the New Jersey Civil Service Commission or the New Jersey Judiciary. Judiciary staff that have permanent status in a career service title requiring a keyboarding, typing or stenography test. Judiciary staff in unclassified titles requiring a keyboarding, typing or stenography test. BICAT Testing: Candidates selected to serve in a bilingual variant title must pass the New Jersey Civil Service Commission Bilingual Communicative Ability Test (BICAT) performance examination or provide proof of having established bilingual proficiency with the New Jersey Civil Service Commission. Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations. Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting.
