Assists physicians during cardiac catheterizations, interventional procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, electrophysiology and other cardiovascular procedures. Prepares patient for cardiac procedures through education, obtaining pre-op information, and medicating patient; sets up sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies. Prepares room for procedures by obtaining and setting up equipment and supplies. Operates angiographic equipment as necessary to visualize, record, and guide physician's placement of catheter or other arterial lines. Reports intracardiac pressures and cardiac rhythms to physician during procedures. Reports changes in patient's condition and aids in emergency measures as required. Assists in the identification of cardiac dysrhythmia and may initiate ACLS protocol. Assists in the use of external pacemaker for cardiac procedures/interventions. Qualifications
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS). BSN degree Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units. Work Hours:
0700-1730 Weekend Requirements:
