We are looking for a Head of Sustainability Engineering to join our rapidly growing team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for: Oversee and manage the daily operations of the sustainment engineering department Develop and implement strategies to improve the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the autonomous aircraft fleet Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians in conducting thorough inspections and maintenance of the fleet Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient completion of maintenance tasks and compliance with industry regulations Monitor and analyze aircraft performance data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for updates or modifications Stay current on industry advancements and technological developments in order to continuously improve the fleet's performance Manage the department's budget and resources to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and guidance to team members Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and high-quality repairs and maintenance services Communicate with senior management on the status of fleet engineering operations and recommend any necessary changes or improvements Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company policies and procedures Participate in decision-making processes for fleet upgrades, acquisitions, and retirements Act as a liaison between the sustainment engineering department and other departments to ensure smooth and effective communication and collaboration Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement Required qualifications include: Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance US Salary Range $206,000 - $309,000 USD. The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
