The Manager, Business Services Recruiting will partner with lawyers and business services leaders to create and execute a recruitment strategy that attracts and hires top talent. This role requires the exercise of independent judgment and the ability to work collaboratively within a six-person recruiting team and the broader People & Development group. In addition to strategic planning and execution, the Manager will be responsible for managing and developing a team of recruiting coordinators and assistants, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and professional growth opportunities. The role also includes overseeing workflow management to ensure recruiting operations are efficient, timely, and aligned with organizational goals. The Manager reports to the Director, Business Services Recruiting and is classified as an exempt position. This position has flexibility to work remotely on a regular basis but will be required to be in the office for team engagement, meetings, and training from time to time. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide strategic direction for hiring plans and facilitate the execution of same Negotiate placement fee agreements and serve as a primary point of contact with search firms and candidates Collaborate with recruitment team members to review resumes of active candidates, source passive candidates via LinkedIn and/or cold calls and pipeline passive candidates for future opportunities Provide comprehensive and regular recruitment status reports to stakeholders Manage the delegation of interview logistics, including calendar appointments, conference room reservations, confirmation emails, and collection of interview feedback Troubleshoot and resolve escalates issues and questions from hiring managers, recruiting team members, and internal and external candidates Build influential relationships with candidates and serve as a resource regarding firm benefits, policies, and recruitment process Work with Human Resources and hiring managers to develop role scope and job descriptions for newly created and repurposed positions Conduct market research including similar positions in competitor firms, salary benchmarks, and saturation of candidate pool in order to manage expectations on timeline and level of difficulty to fill Work closely with the greater recruiting team to drive projects forward as needed Please note this job description does not cover or contain all activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Minimum seven (7) years recruiting experience in a law firm or similar professional services environment Previous account management experience or experience managing a team Experience with Workday or a similar ATS Advanced user in Microsoft Office and strong computer and technical skills Possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion, and maintain confidentiality Professionalism, personal integrity and high degree of confidentiality Highly organized with the ability to prioritize Flexibility to work extra hours as dictated by the demands of the role Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is committed to providing employees with a comprehensive and competitive benefits package that supports you, your health, and your family.
