Family Peer Advocate , you will play an important role in the lives of the people we support. A
Family Peer Advocate
in a mental health clinic provides personalized support and advocacy to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, leveraging their own lived experiences with mental illness to offer guidance, encouragement, and practical assistance in navigating treatment, recovery, and community resources, acting as a relatable role model and champion for their peers throughout the recovery process. Requirements: Caring, upbeat personality. High School Diploma or GED Credential as a Family Peer Advocate by an OMH (Office of Mental Health)-approved credentialing program Demonstrate lived experience as a parent or primary caregiver who has navigated multiple child serving systems on behalf of their child(ren) with social, emotional, developmental and/or behavioral healthcare needs.
