Duties Target candidate may be required to operate and maintain a vacuum excavation truck and related equipment safely and efficiently Possess the ability to designate/locate a variety of underground utilities, create legible field sketches, simple mathematics, field measurements, document daily activities, and perform records research. Perform other duties as assigned Experience This position is similar to a utility locator or utility designator and requires minimum of 2 - 4 years of utility locating or designating using many types of pipe and cable locating devices Experience with Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) is preferred Understanding basic traffic control and the hazards associated with working in and around traffic and follow safety precautions Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Surveying, CADD, and vacuum excavation truck experience a plus. Skills Ability to follow instructions, possess the ability to be trained, mentored and have a positive can-do attitude are necessities Must possess leadership and mentoring skills. Have a basic knowledge of various underground utilities and able to identify surface features associated with various utilities Ability to perform some equipment maintenance tasks a plus Mechanical aptitude is desired Degrees/Licenses High School Diploma is required. A valid current driver's license and have the ability to obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical card for Commercial Motor Vehicle operation is required Current Commercial Driver's License is a plus NULCA or other certification is a plus Qualifications

Education and/or Skills Required: Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience Highschool Diploma/GED Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations Required: Valid Driver's License Ability to maintain required certifications.
