New Balance is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Architect to join our eCommerce Engineering Team, specifically the Data workstream, within the Global Direct-to-Consumer organization. The Data team is responsible for the implementation and design of data pipelines, ecommerce site tags, tools to ingest data from eCommerce and Retail systems into our data repositories, and visualization of data to help stakeholders (business owners, product owners, and management) make data-driven decisions on how best to run the omni-channel business and serve our consumers within their regional markets and worldwide. The role can be based out of our St Louis MO or Brighton MA office. Major Responsibilities

Design and develop data pipelines, payloads, schemas, and models populated by consumer behavioral data between various systems and services. Identify internal and external data sources for consumer behavior, business metrics, and other key indicators needed by ecommerce and retail stakeholders. Work within a cross-functional agile team to implement site tagging, data gathering, aggregation, and visualization. Collaborate with agile teams to identify data needs for user features and ecommerce business enhancements. Champion a culture of strong data usage, privacy, compliance, resiliency, integrity, and reliability across teams and stakeholders. Contribute across all phases of the software development lifecycle in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe): planning, design, implementation, deployment, operations, and support. Communicate effectively with associates and business contacts, promoting a strong sense of teamwork. Build globally scalable templates for data gathering and visualization. Inform stakeholder direction and data practices to enable informed, data-driven decisions for ecommerce and retail operations. Provide regular updates to management and architects on project status, risks, and technology issues, and propose suitable alternatives. Offer assessments and recommendations on the design of data systems, tools, and vendors within the omni-channel data space. Requirements for Success

Minimum 7 years of experience in data architecture, science, engineering, or a related field in the software engineering space. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI. Experience designing data schemas and pipelines using custom code or low-code/no-code platforms. Experience with data lakes and repositories such as Snowflake. Experience with tagging and data gathering platforms such as Google Tag Manager and Tealium. Experience with analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and Contentsquare. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldor equivalent professional experience. Strong understanding of omni-channel, direct-to-consumer businesses and organizations. Experience using AI-powered productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot. Knowledge of data privacy and relevant legislation (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Strong written and verbal communication skills; collaborative team player. Commitment to standards, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with sound judgment. Experience working in an agile environment, especially Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Experience working with globally distributed teams. Regular Associate Benefits
