Relief Residential Crisis Worker

Broadway Crossings Crisis Residential Program Pay rate:

$20.00/hour The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a Relief Residential Crisis Worker to join the Broadway Crossings team. Broadway Crossings provides short-term, trauma-informed, stabilization services to adults experiencing a mental health or co-occurring crisis in a home like environment as an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization. As a Residential Crisis Worker, you will provide direct service to clients as part of a multi-disciplinary team by: providing listening support identifying needs assisting clients in achievement of treatment plan goals administering medication administering risk assessment, milieu management, household organization provide medical record documentation. This role is required by the State of Maine to have proof of immunization or documented immunity against rubeola (measles), mumps, rubella (German measles), varicella (chicken pox), hepatitis B (optional), and influenza. Medical exemption may be accommodated with a written statement from a licensed medical professional. The Agency may assist with obtaining vaccines or proof of immunity if needed.

Onsite in South Portland, ME Qualifications: High School Diploma with 5 years related experience required. Associates degree in Behavioral Health or related field and 2 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree in Social Work or other relevant area preferred. Must become certified as Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT1) within 1 year of employment (trainings provided); then maintain required trainings to uphold continuous MHRT1 status. At least one year of experience in mental health field preferred. Technical literacy, knowledge of DSM-V, solid oral and written communication, strong organizational skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Flexible schedule is required. Computer efficiency is a requirement. Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check. Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list. MHRT is required for position you must pass CNA registry check. Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and TB screen. Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, typing and frequently lift and carry small children or material weighing up to 25 pounds.
