Utilities Sector In Office (U.S. based
must be in Boardman, Canton, or Columbus Ohio) | Full-Time Atwell is hiring a Project Coordinator to support our growing Utilities team, working on a variety of impactful projects in the gas, water, and electric sectors. This fully in-office role will work closely with Project Managers and engineering teams to ensure projects stay organized, compliant, and on schedule from initiation through completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized professional with administrative and coordination skills to support engineering teams, clients, and customers in the utility's environment. Prior experience in utilities is helpful but not required. What You'll Do: Coordinate with Project Managers and engineering teams to support day-to-day operations on multiple utilities projects (gas, water, electric). Track project deliverables, manage project inventories, and assist in coordinating permits and other regulatory paperwork. Support project invoicing, track budgets and expenses, and assist with accrual tracking for specific projects. Manage communications across internal teams, clients, and municipalities, including emails, documentation, and scheduling. Organize meetings, capture notes, and follow up on action items to keep projects on track. Prepare proposals, reports, and internal documentation to support ongoing project workflows. Maintain and ensure accurate project files, documentation, and compliance with internal standards. Provide client and customer-facing support, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness. What You'll Bring: Prior project coordination or administrative experience in utilities, construction, or infrastructure industries is preferred but not required. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). Experience with SAP or other project management systems is a plus. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and team interactions. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and proactive problem-solving. Client-first mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach. Ability to manage paperwork, tracking systems, and field coordination support with minimal supervision.
