The College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University seeks applications for a clinical track faculty position at the rank of assistant/associate/professor in the Division of Periodontology. The primary responsibilities of this position will be didactic and clinical instruction in the periodontal and implant curricula. Other duties include supporting the overall mission of the division, participating in university and college governance, contributing to the college's continuing education programs, and practicing in the college's affiliated intramural Dental Faculty Practice. Candidates must have a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent degree and a certificate of advanced education in periodontics from a CODA-accredited program. They also must be eligible for a regular or limited teaching license by the Ohio State Dental Board. Board certification by the American Board of Periodontology is highly desirable. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to create an environment that promotes collegiality, collaboration, and cultural diversity among members of various education, research, and service communities. A willingness to serve as a role model and advocate for the ideals of professionalism and high ethical standards in a health science educational setting is essential.
