Sr. Adjuster Commercial P&C Claims
CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. AdjusterCommercial P&C Claims. In this role, you will investigate, assess, reserve, and adjust first- and third-party commercial property and casualty claims promptly and objectively, while adhering to Company policies and regulatory standards. Your ability to deliver clear communication, fair resolutions, and exceptional service will help create a claims experience that not only meets expectationsbut exceeds them, turning customers into lifelong advocates of CopperPoint. Job Responsibilities: Evaluate and determine coverage for submitted claims and identify potential coverage issues. Conduct comprehensive liability claims investigations regarding moderate to high exposure accidents involving bodily injury and/or property damage. Set, adjust, and monitor reserves. Establish, review, document and maintain claims and assure progress toward resolution. Manage a caseload of moderate to high complexity ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Proactively maintain an electronic diary system. Provide prompt and professional responses to client-broker requests. Identify, investigate, and refer potential subrogation claims when applicable. Assess actual damages, negotiate loss settlements, attend hearings and mediations as needed. Proactively identify and communicate discovered risks to Loss Control and Underwriting. Participate in claims adjuster training, continuing education and team roundtables as required by department goals and applicable law. Provide direction, assistance, and supervision to less-experienced adjusters and assigned clerical staff. Manage and direct outside claims counsel. Review submitted invoices for accuracy and payment consideration. Generate, distribute, and maintain large loss notices. Assign, direct, and manage outside vendors. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Competencies: High school graduate. College degree and insurance designations a plus. 7 years of prior insurance auto liability and/or general liability adjusting experience. Commercial adjusting experience a plus. Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365 products. Minimum of two years handling of litigated claims. A professional utilizes effective negotiation skills. Prior Experience with Guidewire is helpful, but not mandatory. Salary Range: $68,000.00 - $104,000.00 annually. Compensation may vary dependent on skills, experience, education, and geographical location. In addition to base salary, compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.
