Your Role as a Direct Support Professional/Caregiver
As a Full-Time Direct Support Professional/Caregiver at the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center, you will be the heart of our community residential setting, making a transformative impact on the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve administering medication, assisting with hygiene needs, and providing basic first aid when necessary. Safety will always be your top priority as you provide transportation to appointments and activities. You'll also engage people in planning and participating in work and recreational activities, offering new opportunities and relationship building. Meal preparation, home maintenance, and managing behavioral needs will ensure a holistic approach to care, while crisis intervention skills will help navigate any challenges that arise. Your dedication to completing vital documentation and attending team meetings will further our culture grounded in Dedication, Dignity, Respect, and Choice.
