Job Title

We're seeking a hands-on Thermal Engineer with a strong foundation in either electrical or mechanical engineering, and a passion for solving thermal challenges at the intersection of hardware design, airflow, and control systems. In this role, you'll collaborate across electrical and mechanical disciplines, applying engineering fundamentals, statistical methods, and a data-driven mindset to create precise, reliable temperature control systems. This is a cross-functional role ideal for someone who can, or is willing, to bridge a gap between electrical and mechanical domains. Job Duties: Design and optimize systems for active and passive thermal control (e.g., airflow, heat sinks, temperature regulation) Ensure accuracy and stability of thermal control systems through modeling, prototyping, and data validation Collaborate closely with other electrical and mechanical engineers to integrate thermal solutions into real-world product designs Develop and implement instrumentation for thermal testing; automate data collection and analysis pipelines Investigate thermal failures and drive design improvements using root cause analysis and statistical tools You Must Have: 3+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering roles, with some direct involvement with thermal systems or controls and a strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and airflow management Proficiency with statistical tools (e.g., DOE, Gage R&R, regression analysis) and a data-driven engineering mindset Ability to work across disciplines and communicate effectively with ME and EE stakeholders We Value: Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent experience applying statistical analysis Experience with HVAC systems, heat pumps, or forced-air heating Familiarity with thermal modeling and simulation tools (e.g. Ansys, CST, Minitab, etc..) Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) environments Exposure to control algorithm development for thermal regulation Knowledge of material properties and their thermal implications Understanding of power dissipation in electrical circuits and PCB thermal design considerations Ability to deliver results under tight timelines and manage priorities in a dynamic environment What's In It For You: Work in a Hybrid setting (3 days in office, 2 days remote) Enjoy work-life balance with generous vacation time that can be scheduled with manager approval based on business priorities and personal needs, without pre-set maximums. Immediate eligibility for Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and 401K.
