Supervises all operations and ensures compliance with the food and beverage policies, standards, and procedures.
Operates the department team as needed and reports any malfunctions.
Supervises staff to ensure guest service expectations, operational needs, and financial goals are met.
Develops events with specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and meet organizational goals.
Monitors and maintains the productivity level of employees.
Ensures all team members and supervisors understand the brand-specific philosophy.
Manages the operational budget and verifies that standards are met.
Supports supervisors in understanding the changing needs and expectations of team members, and how to overcome them.
Coordinates cleaning programs in all areas of food and beverage (e.g., general cleaning), identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
Establishes and maintains open and collaborative relationships with employees.
Fosters a work environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and passion for service.
Demonstrates knowledge of the brand-specific service culture.
Acts as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
Supervises daily operations, oversees quality and standards, and meets customer expectations every day.
Takes a proactive approach in managing guest and employee concerns.
Responds promptly to customer service department requests.
Negotiates contracts and manages supplier relationships to optimize costs and quality.
Recruits, hires, and trains food and beverage staff, including waiters, bartenders, and support staff.
Provides ongoing training and feedback on performance to ensure service excellence.
Analyzes sales trends and identifies opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction.
Ensures compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
Develops new bar menus considering costs, trends, and innovative techniques.
Has expertise in reservation systems and reservation logistics.
Ensures the implementation of safety procedures to protect employees, customers, and company assets.
Investigates and resolves complaints related to food quality and service.
Complies with all company safety policies and procedures; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager.
Fosters positive working relationships, supports team in achieving common goals, listens and responds appropriately to concerns of other employees.
Ensures compliance with expectations and quality standards.
Ensures that the uniform and personal appearance are professional and maintain the confidentiality of the company's information.
Performs other functions assigned by management.
Qualifications
Hospitality orientation.
Bachelor's degree in hotel management, business administration, or related field (preferable).
Proven experience in food and beverage management, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of industry trends and beverage techniques.
Ability to handle the pressure of coordinating multiple activities simultaneously and propose adequate solutions to the restaurant's operational challenges.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Fully bilingual (English/Spanish).
