Our Premium Audit team is currently seeking an Audit Team Lead in our Howell, MI location. Position is eligible for Hybrid/Flex work arrangement. This is a full time, non-exempt role. Position Overview: Join our dynamic Premium Audit team as an Audit Team Lead, where you'll play a pivotal role in guiding operational excellence and delivering best-in-class service. As a strategic support to the Manager, you'll lead a high-performing team through workflow management, technical expertise, and proactive coaching. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to process innovation and drive business results while mentoring a dedicated audit team. Approximately 25% of your time will support production activities

keeping you rooted in hands-on auditing while leading forward. In This Role, You Will: Leadership & Collaboration: Facilitate team meetings and communicate updates, priorities, and best practices Cultivate team pride, engagement, and trust through active coaching and mentoring Support new hire onboarding and cross-functional training Workflow & Operations: Analyze work distribution reports and align resources to meet business priorities and SLA targets Implement process improvement initiatives that optimize operational efficiency Identify trends or roadblocks in escalated work items and guide resolution Coordinate with offshore partners and internal stakeholders to align capabilities Service Excellence: Provide exceptional customer support to Agents and Insureds Validate and analyze financial data to determine accurate exposures and earned premiums Remain current with state-specific compliance changes and ensure team adherence Own and resolve priority items and complex account issues with urgency and precision Deliver clear, professional written and verbal communication across all levels Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert for auditable policy coverages, rules, and classifications Support implementation of manual rules and audit procedures across all policy segments Share technical guidance with team and partners to ensure quality and compliance Identify skill gaps and lead knowledge-sharing sessions What You Need To Apply: Associates degree or two years equivalent insurance related experience 3-5+ years of audit review experience Completion or commitment of APA 91 and APA 92 Advanced understanding of business objectives and the ability to work with other functions to meet those objectives Ability to work with agents, coworkers and policyholders in a positive and helpful manner Effectively manages workload to achieve team goals Able to meet deadlines in a fluid environment and handle multiple tasks competently Advanced computer skills in windows, spreadsheet or word document applications High level of technical expertise enabling one to solve complex issues Above average interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills Career Development: It's not just a job, it's a career, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
