Sr Audio Algorithm R&D Manager

The Audio and Media Technologies (AMT) team is at the center of audio & video processing in Apple's innovative products, including AirPods, HomePod, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Vision Pro. AMT's Audio team provides the audio foundation for various high profile features like phone calls, FaceTime, Siri, spatial audio, and media capture and playback. As part of the Audio Algorithms group, you will lead an exceptional team of audio codec, signal processing, and machine learning experts in delivering world class spatial audio experiences. The Audio Algorithms team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineering manager to advance spatial audio coding, formats, and professional workflows. As a key leader on the algorithms team, you will set and drive technology roadmaps, collaborate with other organizations to lead complex cross-functional projects, advance features from proof of concept to shipping solution, and motivate and develop a talented group of individual contributors and managers on your team. Minimum Qualifications: Established industry experience leading audio focused research and development teams Proven track record of developing research from initial concept to shipping customer facing solution Demonstrated ability to initiate and drive large, cross-functional projects Excellent communication and presentation skills 10+ years experience in engineering management MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $228,100 and $393,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
