Vice President For Programs (Special Programs)

Comunilife Inc. is looking for an experienced Senior leader for its new Vice President of Programs (Special Programs) position. Reporting to the Chief Program Officer (CPO), the Vice President for Programs (VP) supervises the Assistant Vice Presidents for Programs (AVP) for Transitional Housing, Program Director for Medical Respite, Program Director for Care Coordination, and the Director for SCN Services. The Vice President is responsible for program management and the quantity and quality of services provided to clients; adherence to budgets and contract deliverables; oversight of outcome measurements and metrics; relationships with other providers and with government, and other funders; collaborating with Human Resources on employee hiring, discipline, evaluation, training, development, and supervision. This position is eligible for Comunilife's generous paid time off and benefits package. Essential Functions: Directly supervise Assistant Vice President (AVPs), Program Directors for Medical Respite, Care Coordination and SCN Services; ensure effective supervision of Program Directors, and monitor the provision of inclusive, high quality, effective, and efficient services to clients consistent with high standards of care in compliance with funding sources and Comunilife's mission and vision. Ensure that programs and services are managed in compliance with contract and policy requirements of NYS-OMH, NYC-DOHMH, Medicaid/Medicare, HRA/HASA, OTDA, DHS, HUD, HPD, SAMSHA, MRT, ESSHI and HIV/AIDS Service Programs, NYS DOH, and any other government entities, or individuals that provide funding and/or have regulatory authority over Comunilife. Works collaboratively with the Vice Presidents for Human Resources, Strategic Planning, Development, and Real Estate. Ensure that AVP, Program Directors, supervisors and case managers timely input accurate data in all program databases, i.e. AWARDS, CAIRS, CARES, HRA PACT, HASA Web, TMS, HMIS, SalesForce, Real Page, Unitas, Findhelp, and others. Ensures the timely submission of funding source reports and data uploads, i.e. HMIS uploads, monthly HASA and DHS reports, OTDA quarterly reports, etc. Facilitate case conferences, participate in crisis intervention and client and staff problem resolution to support AVP and PDs in program operations. In concert with the CPO, AVP, and Finance Department, effectively manage the organization's program budget by regularly monitoring expenses. In concert with the CPO, will assist with the execution and implementation of new programs as needed. Establish and maintain relationships with other providers, government, and other funders. Other Functions: Participate in program planning and development. Represents Comunilife at conferences, on task forces, with provider coalitions, workgroups and other forums as needed. Participate in the hiring selection process for relevant positions. Qualifications Education and Experience Requirement(s): Graduate degree in Social Work; Public Administration; Business Administration or any related field. Ten (10) years of experience in the fields of mental health, substance abuse, homeless services, supportive housing and HIV/AIDS with at least 7 years in a management role. Ability and willingness to perform all duties as workload necessitates. Strong administrative and social service delivery or related experience. Demonstrated experience in evaluating, monitoring and improving quality of services. Knowledge and hands-on experience in providing direct services related to the treatment and recovery of persons with HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, serious mental illness, and homelessness. Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency with MS Office and Google product suites. Ability to perform and manage in a team approach; excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to handle complex challenges and balance multiple demands on time and attention. Willingness to travel across NYC boroughs.
