Associate, Payroll Operations
Vestwell is the financial technology company powering the new savings economy. The New York City-based fintech platform redefines how people save for the critical aspects of life across retirement, education, and healthcare savings needs. Today, Vestwell enables over 350,000 businesses and nearly 1.5 Million active savers, with over $30 billion in assets saved across all 50 United States. Vestwell offers a range of products, including workplace-delivered retirement plans, employer-offered student loan repayment benefits, and various savings accounts for education, emergencies, and individuals with disabilities. The role will be based in one of our New York City HQ, Austin TX, or King of Prussia, PA, offices and will be part of Vestwell's hybrid in-office operation. The expected base salary range for this position is $60K - $65K base. This position is eligible to participate in the Company Bonus Pool and is eligible to receive new hire equity in the Company. Please note that salary bands are based on NY and other similar metro areas and may differ based on where the role is ultimately hired. Who Are We Looking For?
Vestwell is expanding and we're excited about growing our Operations team with entry-level Operations Associates who are passionate about our mission to change the retirement Fin-Tech space. At a high level, we're looking for someone who has insane levels of attention to detail and proven ability of juggling multiple priorities at once. You will be key to powering transactions on the platform and ensuring it runs at full speed. We're a startup so a self-starter mentality comes first and foremost. You are someone who will dive into whatever challenge is placed in front of you, and find creative ways to solve problems. What Will You Be Doing?
Day-to-day you will be expected to: You're flexible, creative, team-oriented, results-driven, and can effectively collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders. Develop both internal & client-facing knowledge bases; look for ways to continuously improve existing processes. Support and guide team members, monitoring their volume, while ensuring timely and accurate remediation of a high volume of complex operational issues Collaborate with teams across the Vestwell organization to provide feedback on platform enhancements and procedural efficiencies. Maximize team efficiency through timely completion of tasks and projects, in addition to rapidly identifying, sorting, and assigning incoming work across platforms. Identify and resolve discrepancies in high priority payroll, deferrals, eligibility, and other related activities, to ensure our data is consistent and accurate. Requirements
The Necessities: Excel proficiency (e.g. you're a pro at pivot tables and know your way around with VLOOKUPs) Comfort working in a start-up environment with a substantial degree of autonomy and flexibility Exceptional analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities, and meet deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Problem solving skills, ability to conduct research, analyze, and communicate information to troubleshoot resolution Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and work experience 1 year relevant experience in Financial Services, Operations, or SaaS industries The Extras: Payroll system experience Proficiency with productivity tools, especially JIRA Retirement industry experience Our Benefits
