Serving the communities of Aurora, Elgin, Hanover Park, Schaumburg, South Elgin, and Streamwood Champion for YouthBlue Crew Team Member Job Title: Director of Compliance Job Type: Full Time, Exempt Job Location: 355 Dundee Ave, Elgin Il 60120 Reports to: Chief Administrative Officer Salary: $60,000 Job Summary The Director of Compliance is responsible for researching, creating, and writing grant proposals to fund Boys & Girls Club's initiatives and programs. The Director of Compliance is responsible for evaluating spending and the allocation of funds on a regular basis. Conduct full range of activities required to prepare, write, and submit grant proposals in accordance with the fundraising budgetary goals of the organization. Serves as primary internal & external point of contact for all questions regarding grant/contract compliance and reporting. Ensure timely grant/contract reporting, producing financial reports and collaborating with program staff to complete program reports. Responsible for reports to funders as needed outlining use of funds and outcomes of programs funded in a timely fashion. Follow-up on informational requests from funders. Identify prospective foundation, corporate and government funders. Maintain ongoing communication with foundations and government agencies. Maintain current grant & contract records in database, including grant tracking and reporting. Develops systems to measure and monitor financial, program, and grant performance more effectively. Coordinates research on potential grant funders and seeks to determine where potential donor interests align with needs and opportunities of Boys & Girls Club. Establish a system for tracking any reporting required by Boys & Girls Club to foundations. Qualifications
Skills/Knowledge Required Exceptional skills in the areas of organization, attention to detail, time management, and ability to manage multiple tasks, define and set priorities and problem solve. Exhibit professionalism and integrity through superior written and verbal communication skills. Ability to take initiative with projects to work both independently and in a team. A personal mission, vision and values that align with Boys & Girls Clubs of Elgin. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree required. Accounting or Financial degree a plus. Experience with grant funding allocations required. Project management or internal assessor background preferred. Microsoft Excel: 3 years (Preferred)
