As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a dynamic education location, you will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence while helping to deter security-related incidents. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by managing entry points, responding to inquiries, and offering exceptional customer service. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $15.25 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 08:00 AMTue12:00 AM - 08:00 AMFri12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSat12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSun12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk. Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and/or credentials as required. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences. Assist with visitor management, including issuing visitor passes and providing directions or information as needed. Communicate professionally with staff, students, and/or guests to address inquiries or concerns. Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or more years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
