Reconstruction Superintendent
Servpro of Limestone and Lawrence Counties/Decatur is looking for a Reconstruction Superintendent. Pay rate: $50,000 - $60,000 a year based on experience (with the opportunity for raises and commission bonuses based on work quality). Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance provided through BCBS of Alabama (Servpro of Limestone & Lawrence Counties/Decatur covers half the cost of employee insurance) and 401k matching provided through VOYA. Servpro will match employee contributions dollar-for-dollar up to 4%. The Construction Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day management of construction projects. They are responsible for delivering a high quality of service in all dealings with customers, clients, subcontractors, resource providers, and company employees involved in performing construction services. Primary Responsibilities
Estimating jobs in the Xactimate software Compile and resolve punch list items Perform final walk-through with customers Conduct pre-construction meeting with customers Provide project updates (daily narrative) to customers and client Schedule all subcontractors and material suppliers Ensure all work performed complies with the plans, specifications, local codes, and requirements of the scope of work Set expectations on a project-by-project basis Maintain quality standards through site inspections Provide evaluation and rating of all vendors and subcontractors Ensure material suppliers deliver exactly what was purchased Ensure subcontractors complete all work in accordance with their purchase orders Education and Experience Requirements
At least an amateur grasp of the Xactimate estimating software High school diploma/GED Superb customer service track record Effective written and oral communication Experience in restoration and/or construction preferred This is a full-time position, working 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., MondayFriday. This position frequently requires long hours, working on-call, and weekend work. Travel is required and is primarily local. However, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
