Robotics Systems Engineer
Nokia of America Corporation is seeking a Robotics Systems Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain network and server infrastructure for robotic control and implement large-scale distributed and networked software systems. Invent and prove in (by implementation) novel robotics algorithms. Research the role of emerging network technologies in control of collaborating robots. Optimize and improve the system performance through algorithms and implementation. Create technologies with potential of becoming a future business for the company. Contribute own ideas and use them in collaboration with peers to drive research directions. Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of business strategies. Analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert. Salary Range: $143,083 - 195,907 per year Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) Job Requirements: Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aeronautics, or a related field. Education or experience in: Programming languages, including Python, C++, or JAVA; Robotic Simulation Software experience with simulation tools, including ROS (Robot Operating System), Gazebo, or V-REP; Control Systems and Algorithms; and Analyze complex robotics systems and troubleshoot issues. Domestic travel up to 10% required. International travel up to 10% required. Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Murray Hill, NJ may be permitted up to 60%. Skills may be gained through experience or academic coursework. Qualifying education, coursework, and/or experience may have been gained concurrently.
