Position Summary: The acute mental health counselor provides professional mental health care and case management of assigned patients under daily leadership of unit supervisor. Works closely with the psychiatrist, nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate treatment and discharge planning for the patient. Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work or a clinical mental health field. License: LSW or LMHCA required; LCSW or LMHC preferred. Experience: Required 1 year experience in direct clinical care of patients/clients with mental health or chemical dependency diagnosis. Must be at least 21 years of age.
